Watch Hawking, the extraordinary life story of world renowned physicist, Stephen Hawking, told in his own words. Produced by Darlow Smithson Productions for the American public broadcaster PBS, the film was first aired in 2014.

A PBS web page on the film describes it as “the first-ever autobiographical documentary about physicist Stephen Hawking” and says it offers rare insights into Hawking’s life. The film includes “dramatic accounts of his life from childhood through university; intimate footage of Hawking at the time of the film’s release, including his home routine and his work life at the University of Cambridge; archival footage and candid comments from family members, friends and colleagues.”
