Time has stood still: Philip Roth

Pulitzer Prize winning novelist Philip Roth died in a New York hospital at the age of 85 last week. ‘The Paris Review’ podcast remembers him with his acceptance speech at the Hadada Award

Before Philip Roth was an American icon, he published one of his first short stories in The Paris Review in 1958. In 2010, he received the Hadada, the Review’s award for lifetime achievement. Here is his acceptance speech:
